The same as with any communication that can be proven to have originated from you, caution is needed. Maybe you could ask how they feel about how they've been treated etc via email/text, but keep expressing doubts/how you feel (and so on) to phone conversations..

The World is going to end...
by The Quiet One in..one day, as will our lives.
any day could be the last day of our existence... with that in mind, how would you want to spend your final hours, if you knew that your life was going to end tomorrow?
what would you like to say on that last day, and to whom?.

Thanks for sharing that. Is there anything that anyone would like to say to their family/friends/boss etc on their last day.. that they would probably never say otherwise?

I'm glad that all you cat-people are coming together, maybe this thread wasn't a total waste of time. Bobcat, thanks but I don't think that watching such a depressing film (from what I've read) would help me at the moment. The point of the thread was to try to get people to think about what's important, not to wallow in feelings of depression and 'life is pointless'.. What do any of you think about this quote from a review of Melancholia? " The world, Justine declares in her darkest moment of clarity, deserves its awful fate. The perverse achievement of Melancholia is how difficult it is to argue with her conclusion. " http://movies.nytimes.com/2011/11/11/movies/lars-von-triers-melancholia-review.html?pagewanted=2&_r=0

Of course you're a good person to answer my question, there isn't a 'correct answer' , everybody is different and all answers are more than welcome. (Except for thread killers like Gladiator.. only kidding) . I just like to hear different peoples views.. Thanks for replying :)

Would you feel completely satisfied? As your final minutes ticked away, would you think ''Ah well, at least I finished that book? '' ... Your last day sounds like a lonely one.

" Of course it is far different if parents have failed to protect their children and a child or children are in danger. And the policy of the Watchtower Society recognizes this difference. That is why a 1988 letter states: "There is a duty to report when one has reasonable and probable grounds to believe that there is abuse or a substantial risk of abuse and parents have failed to protect the child." And a 1992 letter states: "all in the Christian congregation would want to consider their personal and moral responsibility to alert the appropriate authorities in cases where there has been committed or there exists a risk that there might be committed a serious criminal offence of this type..." @jamiebowers: If you were to read everything on the site.. you'd see that elders are required to report even alleged abuse if it's mandatory under the law to do so.. or even if not legally required to in some circumstances. Otherwise the victim can go to the authorities themselves, which is best if they are adults, or elders can accompany children to report to the police if necessary. If you think that all allegations should be reported, whether the victim wants it to be or not, okay. But consider the possibility that..telling elders that they HAVE TO report every allegation of anything that falls under the local laws definition of child abuse...regardless of the circumstances of the case or the wishes of the victim and their families.. Might be unbalanced? http://thirdwitness.com/childabuse/Mandatory.html
